The different Skin Types

My experience with you at the Rituals Bar over the past few years made me relearn everything. I realized that typical skin types did not correspond to reality, but to what I call Wall Street Beauty.

Listening to you, looking at and touching your skins, has led me to identify 7 different skin types that are listed below.

Our indications do not include:

  • “Anti-aging” because properly formulated skin care and properly performed rituals inevitably help reduce and prevent the signs of aging.
  • Skin diseases because you need to see a healthcare professional first. Once your condition is treated, you can ask the healthcare professional to review the ingredients we use for approval.

Also, these years spent with you have taught me that the simpler the skincare rituals, performed regularly and with the right products, the more the skin can be sublimated, day after day.

Overall, the following 4 steps are essential for all skin types. Simply, depending on their nature, we will adapt them:

  • Clean the skin well
  • Gently exfoliate the skin
  • Moisturize and nourish the skin
  • Protect the skin from the sun

TYPE 1

OILY SKIN | HEAVY CONGESTION | MANY PIMPLES

Usually, this type of skin shows symptoms of severe acne. So, we strongly recommend that you contact a healthcare professional. When the appropriate diagnosis and therapies have been found, you can submit our products and suggested rituals to him/her for approval.

TYPE 2

COMBINATION SKIN WITH OILY TENDENCY | MODERATE CONGESTION | FREQUENT PIMPLES

This skin type is characterized by moderate but constant congestion. For example, pimples, blackheads and the appearance of very large pores are common. However, outside the T zone, moderate drought requires a sufficiently gentle balance strategy, with regulatory and anti-bacterial active ingredients.

TYPE 3

COMBINATION SKIN WITH A TENDENCY TO DEHYDRATION | MODERATE CONGESTION | OCCASIONAL PIMPLES | SENSITIVITY | POTENTIAL REDNESS

Sensitivity, marked dehydration in the cheeks and targeted congestion in the T zone are typical of these skins and sometimes make them difficult to understand. Because indeed, the cheeks can be prone to a lot of dehydration and redness depending on the skin color.

TYPE 4

NORMAL SKIN | SENSITIVITY | REDNESS

These skins are delicate by their slightly inflammatory nature, and simple at the same time because minimalist gestures really allow them to be soothed. This type of skin can produce a bit more sebum in the summer and experience more dryness or sensitivity in the winter. People who have this type of skin sometimes hesitate to hydrate it properly, or do so with very occlusive and / or cytotoxic products that amplify inflammation.

TYPE 5

NORMAL SKIN

These skin types simply require a lot of manual stimulation, delicacy and hydrating care with ease.

They can produce a bit more sebum in the summer and experience more dryness or sensitivity in the winter. Gentle cleansing, gentle and regular exfoliation will maintain their radiance and sublimate them, the use of soothing and regenerating active ingredients, balanced hydration as well as sun protection will be essential.

TYPE 6

DRY SKIN | DULL COMPLEXION | POTENTIAL SUN DAMAGE (PIGMENT SPOTS)

This type of skin is constantly dry, rough, dull and lacking in vitality. Fortunately, massaging, moisturizing and nourishing in a sustained manner to provide essential nutrients, in addition to exfoliating to stimulate cell renewal and correct in the most optimal way, will restore suppleness and radiance to the complexion.

TYPE 7

DRY SKIN | DULL COMPLEXION | SENSITIVITY | POTENTIAL REDNESS

This type of skin is constantly dry, with a dull complexion especially in winter and losing elasticity. In addition to massaging, gentle exfoliation, rich and nutritious hydration, and high performance sun protection will be essential to deeply regenerate it and restore vitality.
